I liked this book! :) As you may or may not know, I have a weakness for books/movies about people with elemental powers, so this one belongs on that list too. It wasn't the best ever and sometimes the romance between Ryan and Natalie seemed a bit... rushed. It almost is one of those instant-love thingies you often read in books nowadays. And I'm not really a fan of that. But overall this was a fun book and I liked it. I really did. And I would read the sequel because I want to know what happens next.

This story starts off with a bang. Natalie has been through some things - and from the sounds of it, she's not ready to talk about it!

Instantly jumping into her internship, she's at a vitamin company and decides to offer herself up as a guinea pig for the new vitamins.

But these vitamins aren't like normal vitamins and nothig is the same after!

The story really does start off pretty quick. You don't get a lot of intro with the characters, but luckily there aren't too many to keep track of.

And Natalie and Lise are really cute. They are your typical girls just getting through college and doing an internship they were lucky enough to land with a big corp. Their banter and parties are fun and easy to read.

They bump into Sal and Ryan right off at the internship and, instantly, their chatting and bonking heads are so sweet and not at all awkward - not even the electric jolt and the near passing out.

This story is a great adventure and kept me turning the pages. The mascerage ball sounded amazing! And I liked that all of the elements of the story seemed to progress naturally and didn't seem forced or awkward at all.

I'm so glad I gave this story a chance.

So This happened.
'He dug the heels of his shoe into the wet sand. He took a deep breath and let it out quickly. "Yes. I'm twenty-one and still a virgin. If you can't accept that, I understand. I made a promise to not have sex until marriage and I intend on keeping it."'

"So you're okay with me being a virgin and not having sex until marriage?"
She smiled, wiping the tears that trickled down her face. "Yes. I'm perfectly fine with that. I really value sex like you do." '

I really don't see the point in stating if a character is a virgin unless they're about to be killed as some blood sacrifice that needs virgin blood and even then its pretty self explanatory if they are or not... What kills me is the way the author then feels the need to (this is the way I read it, if you read it differently then more power to you) almost put down anybody and everybody that has sex almost casually. Whether I agree with that or not as a personal value, I will never respect somebody that judges somebody based on their choices like sex. Its a body function that everyone does (ok so not everybody) and if that person(s) wants to have sex with multiple partners then go ahead, it isn't my body its theirs.

What then made me cringe, was him asking if she was willing to fight off the urge and not give into their 'sexual needs' WHY? WHY IS THAT NEEDED?

I want to burn my eyes I'm so offended haha! Seriously though can you not make it sound like men and women can not control themselves, the word is 'no' and more people need to understand that everybody can say it, should accept it when its said and respect it.

Rant over, I will continue reading.

After that I carried on and I was just a little tired of the 'Romance' between Natalie and Ryan. I just don't get it. From the title and the 'plot' I assumed maybe wrongly that something supernatural was going to go on. And it didn't, nothing much did. It was more religious romance trying to be 'edgy' and although I don't personally like religion in books. (If I wanted religion I know where my bible is) I just couldn't get into the book. It was boring and uninteresting.

This book was quite simple based: the plot was easy to understand although the story didn't begin to sound 'elemental' until about three pages towards the end. I found that the books main topic was sex, nearly every page was about lust and hope of un-rejection towards there love life.

Although the topic of school came up quite often, however the ages of the characters I couldn't quite determine. I'm guessing that all questions will be answered in part 2 even though it might have been a better choice to have a full book rather than two separate ones.

The punctuation of this book was fairly average there was a few mistakes so I guess a second editorial over view could be suggested as well as this just a hint words like he-bee-gee-bees does not exist it might've been easier to use words that everyone will be able to determine the meaning (I know what it means but some people might not).
