This one came across as a bit dated and over the top.

Audiobook (All of my entries on The Story Graph are audiobooks.)
#12 in series
Will I read other installments?   Probably Not   Maybe  Likely  Most LIkely   Definitely Alas, this was the end of the Rabbi Small series. Harry Kemelman died in the 1990's and Rabbi Small died with him.
Comparison to others in series:  Better   About the same   Not as good  Good, but it could have been better Kemelman always told a good story. The mystery developed late in this book and it wasn't too deep. Still enjoyable though. Goodbye Rabbi.
The narrator was George Guidall. I love a narration by George Guidall. (He and Barbara Rosenblat are my favorites.)

I’ve enjoyed this series, both as a mystery and an informal introduction to Judaism and in this case higher education. This is true in spite of how grumpy Rabbi Small is and how he and the author LOOOOVE to expound/explain everything at huge length. I was a bit shaken by how improbable some of his higher ed plot details were as I worked in that arena. I can only assume his plot points based in Judaism were more credible. Series—highly recommended. This entry—just recommended.
