Starts with a lot of momentum, but not really enough to move you through the entire novel. I felt a little stuck about halfway through, but I preserved till the end. Glad I read it, but also glad that I don't ever have to read it again...

Read this for February book group.

Having a hard time describing how I felt about this book. It's a very good book that I greatly enjoyed, even as I felt somewhat voyeuristic, reading about the intimate details of their lives.

A bit of a spoiler, but I did feel that this ending is a prime example of a completely satisfying ending. The way it ends fits the story and fits all of the characters involved, even if it isn't exactly what they--or you--wanted or expected.

I did not see the movie, so cannot say how they compare.
