OMG OMG OMG *flails like crazy* This was amazing, can it be fall already so we can find out how this series ends?

All the books in the Poptropica series have been exciting, full of action, comedy and more, but this one definitely went up a notch. We find out a whole lot, yet still are shrouded in mystery. If anything, I got even more questions. :P

I still adore our main characters, both Jorge and Mya are my favourites. Jorge because he is pretty fun, plus it is quite hilarious to see how he generally just keeps eating, even if the world is ending. And Mya is level-headed and brave and kick-ass. I have a weak spot for kick-ass girl characters.

Octavian is the big baddie, but with several actions of his, I do wonder if he was truly this bad, or if he was just rebelling against the system set in place in Poptropica and of course trying to save that which he lost. The system is kind of logical, the same principals are found in any time travelling book. Do not change the past, even if you desperately want to do that. But I can imagine, given what Octavian lost, that he might want to break those rules.

We meet several new characters. Well, I am not too sure if I like them that much. They were friendly, but they were quite stuck in their ways. Jonas wouldn't listen to reason, and Albright, well is Albright.

We find out a bit more about Poptropica, and it was definitely interesting to find out more about this world, the islands, Aegis.

I love the maps at the beginning and the ending and how you can see what is changed. I am going to see if I can break the code on the map, it seems to be runes, but some are facing a different way, and a few I can't find. But I will try and see if it turns out to be something, it would be fun.

Of course this one ends in a giant cliffhanger of awesomeness. As I said I am not sure if Octavian is so evil as a lot of people are saying. He seems to do bad stuff yes, but he also seems to do some good stuff. I hope we will find out more about him in the next, and last, volume. Squee! I can't wait to see how everything will come together. And I am hoping our main characters will find a way home. Which also makes me wonder if this world works the same as so many other fantasy worlds, will time have passed in the real world? Or has it been mere minutes of time loss?

Gah, I can't wait for fall to come. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!

This book was OK! I haven't read the very first volume so I might be missing some buy-in because I was only just meeting these characters, and the story is very focused on action/plot. The story has some time-traveling elements that might make it a good Magic Treehouse read-alike, and I like the weird character designs where everyone has oval heads and big eyes. Fun, action-y, stuff that's definitely more silly than it is serious.
