It's an early novel from Sarah maas and you can tell but overall enjoyed the story and looking forward to the next in the series.

This book was captivating, I was worried after I read The Assassins Blade that this series wasn't going to be for me but I cannot wait to see how it turns out for the characters. I feel like I'm living their life with them now - I'm not sure how this story can continue for how many books are in the series but I'm eager to find out.

Loved this book! Really made me start getting back in fantasy romance again!
She is a world famous assassin who became a slave. She has an opportunity to stop being a slave if she wins the kings trials. Mystery of who keeps killing the other contestants and also romance.
