Ry and Bowe are childhood frenemies but they never felt like that, I didn't read og series and I'm sure fans of that series will like this more. There is little conflict here it's more set up for future books in series.

This was a lot more complicated story than I expected it to be. Ry and Bowe's romance was an all absorbing slow burn. I couldn't wait to see where it would go.

I did not expect what happened. I was gutted. I was broken and only the words of Jay Crownover could heal my wounds.

I am officially hooked on the second generation.

So much Yaasss!!!

Jay never disappoints!! This book was like coming home!! If you didn’t start with Rule, I highly suggest, you go back, and start at the beginning!! Ugh this was amazing and I can’t wait for the next one!!

Es un shock ver a casi todos los personajes anteriores y a la segunda generación, es la serie más larga que he leído y que pienso continuar

Oh man, I’m so glad that Jay is writing the next generation. I missed so many of the parents, and Ry and Bowe are so much fun.

I need to know what’s going on with Ashton! I also need to know what’s happened between Remy and Hyde! And why Remy is fighting with Cora. Prodigal Son can’t get here fast enough!

“Love wasn’t about control.
It was about being there in the good times and the bad. For the ups and the downs. During the wins and losses. In the light and the dark.
It was about balancing everything out and cherishing all sides of someone, even when it felt impossible.”

When I found out Jay was blessing us with a 2nd generation series for our beloved Marked Men and Saints of Denver I was ecstatic. Now whether you’re new to this world or have been here since the beginning this book will captivate you.

Ry Archer is used to getting what he wants. So when the girl he thought he’d be spending his life with breaks up with him, he becomes lost. He gets in his truck and just drives. He ends up finding himself back with one of his life long frenemies, Bowe Keller. Night and day from each other Bowe may be the only one to help Ry figure out whether he has a broken heart or a bruised heart.

This is a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the series that brought this one to be.

[I received a digital arc for an honest review]

Ry Archer has an ideal life; college football star with a lovely girlfriend and supportive family and group of friends. Until his “perfect” relationship ends unexpectedly and he finds himself running to the one person no one would expect, his childhood friend and adult enemy Bowe Keller. Bowe has been working on her music in Austin when Ry shows up needing her in a way that she’d never expect. But their animosity and distrust in each other cannot overwhelm the soul-deep connection they’ve always shared. Can Bowe and Ry put the past behind them and work towards a new future even if it’s nothing like what they’ve always planned for?

Ry Archer was everything I wanted from Rule’s son (Rule being my favorite Marked Men MC). He was passionate and explosive when he finally let in who he was truly meant to be with but not without some bumps and stumbling along the way. He found his match in Bowe who refused to let him pretend to be this golden boy everyone assumed he was. They were messy and complicated and I ate up every moment of it. Bowe’s strong personality and belief in herself kept the relationship balanced and allowed her to choose her path whether it included Ry or not.

“No. She didn’t do anything I expected her to do. Bowe Keller never did, which was why I never knew what to do with her or how to handle all the conflicting ways I felt about her. All I knew was she was the one person I needed the most at this moment.”

Returning to the world of Marked Men and Saints of Denver felt like sliding on your flip flops for the first time after a long snowy winter, so comfortable you question why you can’t wear sandals in the snow. As a reader you get the edge of slow burn as Ry and Bowe get to know each other as adults while still gaining insight into their history. Ry, Bowe and all the other kids are the best and worst parts of their parents and you just need each of their stories because the struggle will be real but the swoons and happy sighs will be worth each tear and cringe.
