I was already quite familiar with a lot of the concepts having studied it during uni but otherwise probably wouldn’t have recommended the audiobook version

I think weirdly enough the topics are pretty good introductions, but never really delved in wayy too deep; and some parts were pretty iterative but overall still a good read

So I didn't actually realize this before I read it a couple months ago, but a lot of the information is actually pretty outdated (the marshmallow experiment for instance).

Reading, slow and slower.
Kamēr tiek līdz beigām, šis tas no sākuma būtiskajiem konceptiem jau sāk aizmirsties. Vietām varbūt pārāk tehniski un gari. Bet tomēr – ja izdotos izvairīties kaut no daļas mūsu prātu (abu sistēmu) kļūdām, slinkumiem, lažām šīs grāmatas dēļ, visas mokas būs bijušas tā vērtas. Godīgi sakot, jau pāris ikdienas situācijās pamanīju, ka lēmumiem pieeju apzinātāk un pārdomājot iespējamās nereacionalitātes. Iesaku, izmantošu ekonomikas un TOKa stundās.

I guess I have the answer to the question now."Which book would you recommend everyone to read once in their lifetime". I will recommend this one,the sooner the better.
It is worth the effort that is needed to read this book(trust me,it requires effort!),if only,to let us know that we are susceptible to making choices which may not be the best for us.
Updating the review to mention that this is the most referenced book that I have ever read.

I don't think my thoughts really changed reading this in 2017 vs now. The book has a lot of good content in there (it's clear that Kahneman knows his stuff), but it's very dry and overly lengthy. Recommended if psychology and faulty thinking interests you heavily.
