I'm really getting into this series. This one was much better than the last one. Good thing I won the next one in a Goodreads giveaway because I can't wait to dive right in.

The second entry in the Dr. Samantha Owens does not disappoint. Sam has moved to DC to teach. She is trying to move forward with her life by leaving Nashville, doing something different as a career and starting a relationship with Xander Whitfield. There is an airborne attack in train system. Sam and Xander become involved. This was a fast-paced thriller that was full of intrigue. The plot is tightly woven. The characters are interesting. I really enjoyed the story and the character/relationship building. I would recommend this book. I believe that for the most enjoyment it is best to read the first book in the series before reading this one

I am very much enjoying Dr Sam Owens perspective. I love rooting for her in her recovery from the tragic loss of her family. Xander & his family are a hoot & a half. The bioterrorism plot of this book are both terrifying & fascinating. Altogether, this read was easier to get through emotionally than 'A Deeper Darkness' but no less thought provoking.

I enjoyed the plot of this book, but the chapters varied in whose perspective they were written from and that made it hard to get attached to the characters. Entertaining story.

4.5 stars. Edge of Black, J.T. Ellison’s latest release starring Dr. Sam Owens, is a deeply compelling mystery that is action-packed and terrifyingly realistic. To read my review in its entirety, please click HERE.

Another previously read (unrecorded) book. Well paced, detailed back story with all the threads ultimately pulling the plot together.
