This reminds me of a more sophisticated and better written Superhero Girls, and unlike that series, I completely loved this. It’s clean so a younger person could read it, but deals with real feelings of being left out, of trying to fit in, etc. It has a bit of old fashioned Archie feel, without all the slapstick. I eagerly await the next volume.

I was given a digital copy of this title, free, in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a graphic novel about superheroes when they were in high school. I thought that it was just ok. The overall storyline wasn’t really that interesting, and it quickly resolved itself. I think I may have enjoyed this more if I knew the characters better, because there’s no getting to know them with this story. I am curious about Livewire. And I wish that some scenes or story tidbits were longer.

Really cute! I don't really know the Valiant universe aside from Dr. Mirage and Faith, so I'm probably missing a lot of inside jokes, but what's actually there is a really charming super powered teens story.
