Just love the illustrations and the message. Drop the screen and make the day fun with your imagination!

Very charming. The pictures are a bit stronger than the text but I like the idea here where the kid sees a tons of things once the computer game is out of the equation.

I really loved the illustrations in this book and I feel that it's worth reading just to look at the pictures. I'm still undecided how I feel about the story element to this one.

I didn't love it bc I felt like it was, br br technology bad but all the magic in the world was beautiful!

Really beautiful, evocative art, and a great quiet story. The book does a fantastic job of depicting the quiet magic of being out in the woods in the rain, finding snails and climbing trees.

It kinda skirts the line of "ALL ELECTRONICS ARE BAD, GO OUT IN NATURE", but not in a way that turns into a "you kids don't know how to appreciate life" screed. More of a "well the internet went down, what else can we do" kinda way, which I can get behind.

In this world filled with gadgets, a good book to remind young readers the importance of looking at the world around them.

The artwork is stunning. A story about getting out of the house/away from the screen and discovering what is around you in nature, and seeing things with a different view.

This brilliantly captures what it's like to be a child playing outside, though I'm still worried about our protagonist's poor Game Boy.

A child loses their handheld game and enjoys their imagination in a rainy forest.
