This book was a whole roller coaster ride of emotion. I need a minute.

Did it feel like filler? A little
Did I love it anyway? Absolutely!!
-I was not sure how a Snowfall POV would be handled but she was pretty awesome as well as hilarious. Her banter with Lynx was fun and entertaining and while her development did feel a little rushed, I was still rooting for her.
-The crown thing was a little out of the blue and a solution that was a little too easy considering everything that has happened between IceWings and NightWings so I hope that isn't just all forgotten about and is actually explored a little more.
- The scavenger plotline was also very out of the blue and slightly jarring, although I loved the dynamic between Snowfall and Sky, I hope scavengers won't be such a big part of the plotline in he future as the dragon stuff is a lot more interesting.
-The Jerboa/Jerboa II parts were by far the best section of the books and were actually absolutely terrifying and disturbing, I was not expecting that in a series recommended for ages 10-12- but that's not a bad thing! I like that Tui isn't afraid to go dark with her plotlines!
Overall, this was definitely the weakest of The Lost Continent so far but I do still have high hopes for 15!

Got to admit I was worried about having Snowfall narrate as I hadn't liked her much in previous books. But this novel had a plot that went great with Snowfall's character arc, which reminded me a little of Ebenezer Scrooge's arc in A Christmas Carol.
The author also did a great job integrating Sky and Wren from the recently published Legends spinoff, Dragonslayer, into the series' main arc. I was so happy to see them in the main series that I read the portion of the book where they're introduced three times. I love them so much

It was good Interesting to have it from Snowfall's pov, from someone who is traumatized from all the bad stuff that's happened, especially in such a short amount of time.
One problem I do have is I wish Sutherland hadn't hinted at a romance with her and another dragon (not trying to spoil). I just think with a character who is that young being made queen unfairly early and is waiting/looking for attacks around every corner, she should've left it with Snowfall learning more empathy and reflecting on her recent actions.
That's my two cents but I otherwise enjoyed it.
