It is clear that this book was not fully ready to be read by his audience, given that it was found after his death. Had Crighton had time to fully finish this novel, I believe it would have been very good. It feels unfinished, too long, and the characters are not fleshed out. The ending of the book was the best part, so stick it out if you can.
