I have been trying to finish this book for 2 months. I just can't bring myself to read it! I feel like the author was trying to teach the readers how to lose weight only what she was preaching was common sense so it was incredibly boring. Not to mention, this is supposed to be a work of fiction, not a "how to lose weight for dummies" book. I felt obligated to read it because I actually purchased it rather than checking out from the library, but I think it's time to give up.

Fun, quick, chick lit book. Probably would give it more like 3.5 stars, enjoyable but not really anything spectacular.

i enjoyed reading this book. I read it in two days and it was a fun, easy, enjoyable book about a group of friends trying to lose weight. I thought it was a fun vacation read.

I loved this book! It's a great book to start off summer with. I could totally relate to the women in it, who are trying to lose weight for different reasons. It was funny and light. My kind of book!

This was a cute story of friends who were originally part of a cooking club, yet they all realize they need to lose weight for different reasons. All vow to get into a bikini by the summer.

Erin, to fit into her wedding dress, the stress of planning her wedding making her overeat. Meghan a powerhouse attorney who wants to show she is a valuable asset to her law firm, but feels she needs to be more trim to attract new clients. Angela feels she is losing her husband, to a smaller women. Kizzy who fears her husband is trying to sabotage her diet.

All come together to support each other and find the strength within themselves.

"Bikini Season" was a good vacation read that kept my interest on a long flight, but is not a book that made any lasting impact on me.

This book was poorly written, full of cliches, and loaded with one-dimensional characters. None of the women who have men have any personality besides how they relate to them, and Megan, the only single woman, is only losing weight to find a man. The plot was predictable and flat and not all that interesting to begin with.

With all that being said, I actually enjoyed reading this. Sometimes you need something fluffy and mindless to take a break from actual literature. It's undeserving of more than one star, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
