Three victims, three bullets, three cities.

Lindsay finds herself the lead on this latest murder case, and knows she and her team will need to work quickly in an attempt to identity the shooters. Each shooter's aim is deathly precise, and their targets deliberate. As the list of causalities expands, the killing spree catches national attention. Lindsay and her team must determine the connection that each of the victims are known criminals in order to track down the killers.

In this the 20th installment of the Women's Murder Club, there is a slight return to its roots, as thankfully the gang's all here. The four women don't share equal plot time, and there's a subplot involving Lindsay's husband, Joe that felt slightly out of place, even if I did find it interesting.

There is quite a bit of action in this one as the team searches for suspect. But my heart was definitely with Claire's storyline, despite in playing such a minor role. As previously mentioned there are several plot lines, which made it confusing at times as there are no indicators for flipping from on plot to the next. Cindy's storyline did feel very unnecessary and she's quickly become my least favourite member.

Additionally there were several name differences between my print version and the audio version, which made it hard to keep track of who was who. I've never seen this happen, and it made me wonder if names were changed in a reprint edition.

This series certainly isn't what it used to be, but I still enjoy picking up the newest installment when I'm in need of a quick, easy read. These books can also help get me out of slump as the pace keeps the pages turning. At this point, I still see myself continuing on with book 21, but would definitely like the club to play a bigger role again.

"Inexplicably, a sunny, generous, and optimistic woman is gone. Somehow my heart still beats and I continue to live. That's inexplicable, too."
