Compared to the first book in the series, this one fell a bit flat for me. I liked the two main characters and felt they had chemistry but it felt extra contrived. Usually both characters have something they need to "work on" and Brendan didn't really change. There was very little steam too IMO. I'm waiting to read #3 which also has queer MCs like the first one and I'm hoping it's better.

Cute and wholesome with a sprinkle of unrealistic. Basically a romcom book. Brendon was sunny and romantic while Annie was a bit of a cynic. But the plot was quick and cute so enjoyable overall.

I am so in love with this series. And pleasantly surprised that the conflict before the ending wasn’t what I expected. I won’t spoil it though, as someone who loves to know nothing about what their reading before they read it.
