A captivating science fiction mystery, with a main character that grows and works through her past trauma. I read it straight through, staying up all night to finish. I wish the ending had been just a tad more enlightening, but still enjoyed the book.

A communication team working in the outermost sector of known space receives a distress signal on an old emergency line. When the crew goes to check it out they find this universe's space equivalent to the titanic which has been missing for 20 years. They board the ship and try to bring it back to earth, however, while on board creepy and haunting things start happening in an already pretty morbid atmosphere. The pace of the book was pretty slow, but I felt that the haunting prose of the book made it worth it. The characters were easy to like and sympathize with and the antagonists had me clenching my fist. The "twist" may be predictable to some but I loved it and found this a deeply satisfying read.
