As with any poetry collection, some poems hit the mark whilst others miss by a country mile. This is no exception. There is a definite sense of longing for home running through the collection and it was interesting in the use of Chinese writing, (or is it Mandarin?) in some of the poems although I found it annoying to have to look at the back of the book to find the meaning.
Wong's concern for what is going to happen to Hong Kong comes out in this collection, quite pertinent to what is happening now in the region in July 2020.
