There is a vulnerability, emotionality, and honestly that is so impressive to me, as a reader. Onwuachi gives himself grace in discussing his youthful naïvety, but takes himself to task for his personal and professional failings. Still, there is a sense of hope and optimism in his words.
It is a wonderful coming-of-age story. It is rare to see this level of personal growth, acceptance, and self-awareness in a memoir, especially from such a young author.
I was so happy to glad to have read this book.
