A very interesting account of Parliament's historical development over the centuries. Written in 1949, it provides a curious glance into the previous century, with MacKenzie (himself a House of Commons Clerk) elaborating on the key questions that faced Parliament at the time. You'll read with wry laughter as you realise that most of those questions remain. A worthy read for Parliament geeks everywhere!
