This was an interesting read in that it was written 50 years ago and it addresses one of my primary interests, namely, that of how inequality effects us as a people.
I would have rated it higher, but the out of date nature of the figures and statistics made it somewhat less than informative. However, the character studies, the interviews the author did with people from a variety of backgrounds was endlessly fascinating.
