This little novella is the perfect insight into Ulissa’s past, a character from the Isoldesse duology. Knowing more about Uie’s past has me loving her character even more, knowing what she came from and where she’s going to end up, it’s a gift! I wish more authors did this- gave their readers this amazing insight into the world they’ve given us alongside the characters they’ve created. I love everything about this novella and Ulissa, Ulissa has my heart. I never would’ve realized what kind of background and home life she came from, and The Red Umber Forest delivered!
