It's true that time goes faster the older you are, Selma thought, and felt that this wasn't a very good arrangement. Selma wished that her sense of time would grow old with her, that it would develop a limp, but the opposite was true.
Selma's sense of time behaved like a racehorse.

I’m…. Confused by this book. Maybe something got lost in translation, but this felt disjointed and too quirky. Some parts resonated, but most of the time I was confused about why certain things were happening. And I couldn’t connect with hardly any of the characters because they seemed very one dimensional. I enjoyed the themes/some of the ideas explored but not the reading experience.

Eine absolute Leseempfehlung von mir, falls ihr weinen, lachen und vorallem Nachdenken wollt.

Eine Frau, die von Okapis träumt, wenn jemand im Dorf sterben wird, ein Optiker, ein Mönch und ein großer Wolfshund, und natürlich ein Haufen berührender Momente, das sind so ungefähr die Zutaten, die Marianne Leky in 'Was man von hier aus sehen kann' zu einem absoluten Wohlfühlroman zusammenmischt. Es ist schon eine ganze Weile her, dass ich den Roman zum ersten Mal gelesen habe, doch auch beim zweiten Mal jetzt überzeugt das Buch wieder voll und ganz.
