I first saw this book when I walked in a bookshop in Berlin and i immediately felt the need to buy but it weighted too much for my carry-on luggage! Fast forward two months and I finally bought it on Amazon.

When I saw this graphic novel I knew I had to get it for the awesomeness of the art alone. The artist is so talented and the drawings were amazing! And, totally random, but I loved the paper quality lol!

The story follows a teen boy, Ari, who wants to move to Baltimore with his friends to pursue his dreams of playing in a band. To do so, however, he has to first find someone who will replace him in his family's bakery. He meets Hector, who has just moved back to town, when he shows up for the job interview and they soon become friends. It's a meet-cute story, set in a bakery, so you can just imagine the level of cuteness it can reach!

I really liked the comics but I found the story to be a little bit too rushed in some points (i.e. when Ari's friends make fun of Hector and he gets angry, one second he says they're unforgivable and the following he just forgives them). Maybe it should have cut a couple of baking scenes and developed the plot a little bit more.

If you're looking for a cute, YA graphic novel with gay romance, I'd definitely recommend you this book!

Very sweet graphic novel and it turned out to be more serious than I expected it to be. There were lot of identity crisis and toxic friendship themes which I did not expect in a book that was advertised to me as the wholesome baking romance (although that is also what it is).

I didn’t like Ari at all so I had a hard time enjoying this one. I also feel like there wasn’t an overarching plot? The illustrations were beautiful though!
