I enjoyed catching up with Stevie and her friends after her Truly Devious adventures. I love Maureen Johnson’s breezy writing style. Some of the plot twists in this one stretched credulity pretty thin, but still— plenty of fun for anyone having withdrawal symptoms after binging on the first three.

Thank you to NetGalley and Katherine Tegen Books for the electronic ARC.

The new mystery and location was refreshing. Stevie was kind of the worst in this book though, I get Janelle liked organizing but she did not help whatsoever. I loved every moment with Nate, every line was actually made me laugh.
The ending was surprising but kind of a let down, how are we gonna just throw in nazis in the last hour?

I hated David, I hated every moment of romance that was in this book, I hated the twist and the reveal and the actual solution to the murder case (parts of it felt so random and unnecessary), this was simply just not fun. Maybe it was my mistake to try and pick this series back up way after reading the original trilogy. 100% not reading the 5th book I just found out existed today I will not set myself up to be disappointed.
