As usual, funny, introducing even more fairy tale characters. This one gets a little serious and science fiction-y, but it still provides some hilarity, and adds to the mystery.

I absolutely loved this book the way the author did the future!

The case: someone is going around town stealing magical artifacts, including one that lets a person travel through time. Meanwhile, the Queen of Hearts and the Sheriff of Nottingham are in charge of Fairyport Landing now and are enforcing (surprise, surprise) high taxes and working to free the Everafters from the charm keeping them in the town's boundaries.
Not as charming as the others so far, but ends with a huge cliffhanger.

I've been enjoying the series til now, but the author used the word "bejesus" in here.
In a children's book? Really? That's a cuss word same as taking the Lord's name in vain or a variety of others. POOR JUDGEMENT.
