Sometimes lying is OK if it means you get to marry a hot Scottish dude! 

Here’s another Tessa Dare book that made me laugh out loud and kick my feet with delight. I loved following our FMC Maddie: her hilarious letters, her obsession with bugs and lobsters, her fondness for a man reading with his spectacles, her crippling social anxiety…such a fantastic character! 

This is really the kind of historical romance for me - really drawn-out tension, great bantering, and a healthy mix of funny moments and heartfelt ones. Oh and some SPIIIICE!

this is the slowest of burns so at times i wasn't sure about their pairing. however the last third or so really puts you and their relationship through leaps and bounds, and by the end? SOBBING
