El sexismo del personaje de Annabelle ha resistido poco el paso del tiempo. Tampoco es que el libro tenga una prosa sobresaliente y creo que peca de algo imperdonable, y es la cantidad de cosas que te cuenta y no te enseña. Con todo, la atmósfera es bellísima y se lee en un suspiro. Tengo entendido que las obras de romance breve de Rosamunde Pilcher no son lo mejor de su corpus y, bueno, esto un poco me lo confirma.

I enjoyed the book as a light read. I enjoy Rosamund Pilcher's characters. The love the characters have for each other, and the hopeful endings. It was a fast read, without too much depth, but it was enjoyable nevertheless.
