This was fine. I’m not sure if there’s a reading order that would have made me enjoy this more. I read it separately from the series, and it did not inspire me to want to reread anything. It was ok insight into the characters before the story started. It felt like just starting the series at a different place once the author knew the characters better rather than a fully separate novella.

if you can, read this before you start the series!!! such a cute way to get a little more background on the characters before you really dive in!
