Alright. I still haven't seen Jessica Jones, but their banter is cute-ish. Art was a little wonky at times.

Brad does not get eaten, boo. We should be so lucky. And in a desperately unsurprising turn of events, the dragon is, well... let's just say I picked the twist there back in the previous issue. It's not a particularly original twist. I feel like I've seen it a dozen times before, and I'm not that interested. What makes up for the lack of originality, however, is the ongoing relationship between Kate and her mentor Jessica. I'd like to see more of that - it seems such a positive representation of friendship, and I'd far rather read that than endless bits of angst from people who can't get on with each other, for example.

The Best Of: Hawkeye #6

1. Kate being too good a person to let Brad be dragon food even though he's an asshole who probably deserves to be punched in the face. Also, he's her only lead to help her find her dad so...

2. Jessica's comment about sidekicks sums up my complete philosophy about close friends. "Kate, why do you have like... four sidekicks? It's too many. It's way, way, too many."

3. Quinn actually being really good at detective work and figuring out what the abbreviations mean.

4. Kate's correct assessment that Brad is the actual worst and that she and Dahlia could probably be friends.

5. "So, me versus the dragon. Except-- Except she's not a dragon. She's just a girl. Like me." Kate talking to Dahlia and trying to help her first before resorting to a fight and also acknowledging how damn hard it is to be a girl. Preach the truth, Kate. You preach it.

6. "And I don't about you, but I'm sick of people letting me down, people disappearing, people not being who they said they were going to be, the people they promised they were going to be. And you can't control them. Hell, you can't even control your own body anymore. You just want to have control of your life again. I get it. I get it more than you can even imagine."

7. Kate and Dahlia's whole conversation. It could have just been exposition, but instead it ended up being heartfelt and giving some emotional background into Kate's character. "I'm not always good at asking for help..." "Neither I am. But it's time for us to grow up, Dhalia. I think part of that is learning to ask for help when you need it. Nobody is an island or something."

8. Jessica Jones's tired acceptance of whatever is going on around her. Also, her bleeped out swearing.

9. Jessica and Kate's goodbye at the airport and her advice to Kate.

10. KATE HAS LUCKY BACK AND I'M SO HAPPY!
