I picked this up from my own school library shelves to help me better understand and support a 12yo who is considering using they/them pronouns. I am going to suggest the student reads this book, also. Great conversational style, easy to understand.

Written by Nevo Zisin, a queer Jewish activist and educator, The Pronoun Lowdown is a celebration of all things gender diversity. Zisin includes tons of info, including reflections on their own gender journey, a timeline of important moments in trans history, suggestions for gender diverse media to seek out, and tons of helpful breakdowns of everything gender and pronouns. What I especially appreciated was the global approach, in particular the sections that explore how speakers of various non-English languages are approaching new gender terminology (including Hebrew, which is a gendered language that, like Zisin, I’ve had to navigate).
