My initial thought was that this was a desperate attempt to spin the "nice guys finish last" narrative, but as the book went on it did a great job providing data and examples to prove why givers outperform takers. Helped give me faith in being a "good guy" again.

In this path breaking book, Adam Grant holds hands of all the good and kind people (givers) and helps them navigate the world that also has takers (people who take more than they receive)
This is one of the rare books which has both its heart and mind in the right places. Recommended!

It was very ok, lots of repetitive topics, and the examples were cherry picked to prove a point without giving credit to the contrary.

I really enjoy Adam‘s anecdotal approach in these types of books. Unfortunately, I feel like this one suffered from the issue that many of these types of books can suffer from. The first few ideas were great and impactful, and then things tapered off to be less relevant, adding evidence to commonly known things. It was still interesting all the way through and I got some great takeaways, but not a book I would jump to recommend to anyone.

This book was given to the employees at my company by our new CEO. It talks about how givers in the workplace outdue takers despite the widely held assumption that takers dominate the workplace. It was a fun read and gave me a different perspective on how to approach the workplace. Highly recommended.
