not sure why climate/related essay collections haven't quite been doing it for me but this also applies here. i probably should've switched to print instead of audio. maybe would've been better if i could've found some of the accompanying photos that are described in the book. do appreciate the connectedness of race, climate/environmental justice, and motherhood.

Some really beautiful and challenging reflections about our society that reminded me about why I am studying what I study and challenged me to think more deeply about my impact as a neighbor (to humans, creatures, plants, waters, air, etc.). Definitely a re-read even with the pages of notes I took from this
