Although rather expensive for such a short book, I pre-ordered it as I want to have all of the great series "The Expanse".
Bearing the high price in mind - I think a collection of the short-stories and novellas is planned - which might have an ok price - this is 4 stars and highly recommended, you should know the other books, as a standalone too much is missing, and as this is 8.5, read it shortly after [b:Tiamat's Wrath|28335698|Tiamat's Wrath (The Expanse, #8)|James S.A.  At first I wasn't very invested in the story. While it's neat to see another piece of this universe, it not involving any characters I've come to care for had me blasé over it.
Until the ending. Even in this far future universe, corruption finds it's way to worm itself into even the most well-meaning people. That development made it into a great slice of life in the Expanse universe.
