Awesome and excellent book. One would think - what a cliche - a werewolf, a vampire and a girl, but the author created an amazing book from these three components, and believe me, there is nothing cliche in it - it's unique and offbeat. I absolutely loved the protagonists and secondary characters were great. The plot was so eventful and exciting, that I was never bored, and I liked the style of writing. I appreciated, that there were three narrators,it helped me to get to know main characters better and it made the storyline more interesting. Can't wait the next book and highly recommend this one - it's a must-read!

I guess this review has to do with my own personal opinions when it comes to vampire and werewolf love stories. After Twilight, I'm over them. I assumed by the summary this was going to be a story where the vampire was pining after the girl and not the other way around (because, you know, she really likes someone else). Thought the vampire was going to finally be the villain. Alas.

The book was well written, the characters were well developed too. You really liked the main character and her friends. I like how the story took place in a location that people know and the author was vivid in her details and descriptions.

But my god, I just wanted to break a wall when I saw the vampire do a 180* and fall in love with the girl instead of wanting to take revenge and kill her. Because now there is an entire other book to sit through and wonder which one will she end up choosing and to be honest, I don't care for that.

The book was great but it just wasn't for me.

I loved this novel. It was so mysterious and hard to figure out what was going to happen next. There is no way that you will be able to guess what will happen next, especially if you read the first few chapters and then try and guess the ending. A lot of novels are easy to guess after a few chapters what will happen, but not with Darkride. The characters will all formed amazingly and i fell in love with all of Ander and Cicely's friends. I loved the amazing families that supported and loved both of them as well. It was very easy to visualize everything going on mentally, thanks to Laura's amazing descriptive talents, and i cannot wait to see what will happen next!

Wow! I really enjoyed this story. So many twists and turns that kept me completely entertained. I loved all of the characters, except Luke. Something about him got on my nerves. I felt the passion and the longing between Ander and Cicely. Luke seemed like a manipulator while Ander was willing to sacrifice everything, his life and family for Cicely to be safe. So you guys should know whose side I'm on. Ander all the way baby! Micheal and Danny broke my heart. Their scene made my eyes tear up.

I'm getting the feeling this author may be leaning toward a Luke/Cicely ending and I hope that doesn't happen. I would not be able to survive another epic fail. cough**Nightshade**cough

The only thing that kept this from being a full five stars were the really long paragraphs and sometimes I felt like a few conversations were huge information dumps (the conversation between Cicely and Emmie at the Nightlife) and there was a lot of description for some scenes. But other than that, this ebook was so worth more than the measly amount that I paid for it.

I'm glad this author decided to self-publish this book. It's better than a lot of mainstream stuff that gets shoveled on a daily basis. I can't wait for Crossfire.

Please hurry Laura. I can't wait to get my Ander fix.

Darkride is a cute, YA supernatural romance with a love triangle between a girl, a werewolf, and a vampire. Sounds like Twilight but its not. The characters are well developed and become endearing. The introduction to the supernatural world was a little silly and cheesy but once the book got going, it became really good.

I was really hesitant to read this book especially when I saw vampire-werewolf love triangle and instantly thought "not another twilight attempt" but i saw all the great reviews so I thought i would give it a go. I am REALLY REALLY glad I bought this book. It's nothing like twilight and I am really happy it wasn't. Plus I loved the alternating points of view. Everyone should give this book a chance and read it! You will not regret it!

Read this as part of [b:Our Own Brand of Heroine|21838990|Our Own Brand of Heroine|Laura Bradley Rede|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1396446686s/21838990.jpg|41105771]. I wasn't expecting much but they did some unexpected character development with several of the main characters. Nothing too shocking but a bit more complex than I was expecting.
