Both enjoyable and thought-provoking. Lem here explores the idea of necro-evolution: advanced machines adapting themselves to new conditions independent of oversight.
Not as weighty as Solaris, but still an interesting ride.

Great story. Great concepts. Not great ending.

Fun book to read + has some philosophical thoughts as a bonus. Though there could be more developments of the topics, I'd not expect so fast ending

This was absolutely magnificent. An incredibly creative premise, executed really really well, and characters who had far more realistic limitations than people in these kinds of stories usually tend to. Hard sci-fi rarely tries to be this imaginative, and all I can really say against it is that the ending was pretty abrupt and I wish there was more.
