I was shocked when I came to the end of this story so quickly. I would have liked a slower/longer exploration of this story going more into the exploitation of the students (workers) to the whims of the rich and powerful and its effects on the students. However the short story still manages to paint the picture the author wanted us to see quite well.

An interesting book. I feel the criticism of the USSR is mild because Solzhenitsyn wanted to have his novel published.
