I love Marianne! She is smart and confident and kind! Henry is so sweet and shy. I enjoyed watching him come out of his shell and fumble along in his efforts to show Marianne that he liked her, but I felt like there was a lot going on in the book and the relationship was a bit too slow so I was bored a some parts. Their relationship definitely took a backseat to everything else going on and there wasn’t much time for banter or special moments between them.

Henry and Marianne have similar interests, but it was slower for me to really start seeing that these two were a good match emotionally as well. There was quite a bit of miscommunication / lack of communication and other relationships to wrestle through. There was another man vying for Marianne’s affections and he was attentive and pursued her openly for most of the book, which distracted from the tentative relationship between Henry and Marianne. I felt like Henry and Marianne’s relationship was very slow moving and even after they expressed their feelings, it wasn’t completely believable IMO. I wish the other man’s storyline had resolved sooner because I felt like it muddled Henry and Marianne’s relationship instead of strengthening it.

The final Bradwell Brother book is here! I was so excited to finally read Henry’s book. He has been a side character in the other books and it is finally his turn. Henry Bradwell has worked hard to keep his occupation private and his secret identity, secret. A chance encounter with Marianne Hutton, a family friend reveals far more than he is comfortable with. But maybe there is a way to help her to ensure her discretion. Marriane needs help and Henry’s escort for the Season After a few months of courting, they will go their separate ways. But when the secret seems too much to bear and the fake relationship does not seem quite as fake, what will they do?
What a sweet story! Both Henry and Marriane were softer characters, It was cool to see the differences in all the brothers. Henry is the thinker of the family, more reserved and less social. Like his brothers though, he was not planning on love. He finds companionship and support with Marianne. They have common interests and the ability to help one another. Marianne was trying so hard to give herself choices. She knew the expectation for her and the worry her family had for her future. I admired how she tried to go after her passions and future. I enjoyed seeing Henry and Marianne’s relationship grow and they learn to trust each other. I always love when the relationship is built on friendship and supporting one another. There was a lot of excitement and tension in the story too! Honestly there were a lot of points where I wasn’t sure how things would work out. Ms. Stockton’s books usually have a bit more excitement in them and this one was no different! It did make my reading a bit slower going through and it took me a little bit to get fully invested in the story, but I did enjoy this book! I also enjoyed being able to see some of the Bradwells again as well as some other returning characters!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, I was not required to write a positive review.

I'd read the first book in this series and enjoyed it, so I grabbed this one when I received a gift card recently.  One thing this author does well is provide each of her main characters a personal problem they have to overcome on a personal level.  It's not related to the romance, but helps them become better people (and, thus, leads to a better partnership).  That was on display here, as both the hero and heroine had their own arcs that just happened to have a romantic intersection.  I also can see how these two people would build a romantic relationship - it's a friends-to-lovers piece where the leads were childhood friends and initially bond over two shared things.  The only part that didn't work is that there's a random Evil Dude who...the story did not need that.  It had enough strife and plottiness without it.  Still, if that's my only complaint, then it's a good reading day.  (Also - kudos for showing how the mother character has grown since the first book.  While that was not a major part of the story, I liked seeing that).

Honorably Engaged by Kasey Stockton is the third installation of the Bradwell Brothers series. What an ending it is! I'm so glad Henry finally found the love he deserves. I really loved the dual perspective in this one--more than I normally do. I appreciated that Henry and Marianne had a lot more in common than just attraction and that they were able to help each other. If you haven't read the series yet, get your hands on it! The Bradwell brothers are quite charming

What a great story for Henry! I’ve been wondering how he gets an HEA since Sensibly Wed! This book does not disappoint. I love the bookish hero and heroine, the theme of trust, and getting a glimpse of James and Felicity.

I recommend to those who love historical romance, Jane Austen, and love the previous Bradwell books. You can read this book by itself, but might as well read the other books while you wait.

an enjoyable series

This is one of the best Regency romances I’ve read because it is about two authors falling in love. I adored that and how it shapes the other events in the story. Kasey Stockton is awesome!

I enjoyed reading this book!! I’m so happy that Henry got his HEA. It’s great to see that Mr quiet step out of his comfort zone.
