A beautiful read. TW for all kinds of violence (general, severe domestic abuse, the list goes on). But I loved this story so much, and learned a lot while reading.

An incredibly crafted work of literature. Hosseini does a beautiful job of setting up the stories of two women, who are then brought together by unfortunate circumstances of death, war, and poverty. An incredible journey of strength, resilience, and the love between friends. This is a novel that pulls on your heart and gives perspective of how truly fortunate we are to have rights as women in Western countries. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has interest in historical fiction.
