4.5 stars. This was a very cute story! I loved the characters--they were interesting, capable and very likeable--not to mention very perfect for each other. The story was interesting, engaging and truly enjoyable. After reading this book I intend to look up her other books and read them as well. I didn't know until I read it that there are others in the series--I hadn't read them but didn't feel lost or confused, just interested in reading more about the other characters that were mentioned. I highly recommend this story to others--I'll even let my 13 year old read it since it was clean and sweet.

Very cute romance with a HEA. Good for a light read.

This was a delightful Regency story! The overall premise to the story was not all that new (heiress hiding in disguise to avoid an arranged marriage) and the ending was not hard to predict, but I enjoyed it more than I have some other Regency books. I thought the characters were developed well and I especially enjoyed the spunk of the heroine. I also liked that the author brought in some aspects to the story that you don’t see often in this genre, such as the issue of melancholia.
I did feel like the ending wrapped everything up a little too quickly, and at times some of the talk of estates and titles and entailments was a bit confusing. (And I’ll also add that the cover is definitely not one of my favorites.) But overall an enjoyable quick read!
I received an e-book version of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I did like that this book dealt with the topic of Melancholia, aka PTSD. It was an interesting twist to the ol' plot of an heiress having to masquerade as a governess in order to protect herself from an evil uncle and an unwanted, arranged marriage.

Meh. It wasn't TERRIBLE, but it wasn't great, either. The conflict is quickly resolved, and there's a bit too much insta-love for me.

A sweet historical romance. Very enjoyable to read, but will probably not be memorable in the long run.
