4.5 minus 1.5 star for chapter 13 which included a nude child attempting to seduce an old man .

The story (excluding that scene ) is weird and trippy. There are five  tenants whose lives are in a state of disrepair. The world reflects their emotional state .

The story is dark and violent and nonsensical except for reflecting a tone.

1.) girl fights w boyfriend. Kicks him out and then is dragged into attic wher she comes back pregnant and twisted

2.) a grieving widower has a friendship w a young girl and then he comes j to the bedroom and that kid is naked …?

3.) old man’s lives w his granddaughter (the young girl) and they have a magic Cunard full of jars w talking dead chickens

Everyone dies violently and they are also going to hell.. ?

Not really sure about what the story covered

I was so excited about this book - I love all of the authors and artists involved. Sadly, I was met with an absolute mess of a story. The plot is unclear. There seems to be some kind of supernatural element, but that's about all that is ever established. The art is wonderful, but I was disheartened to see drawings of a vaguely sexualized child -- there are hints that she has been molested, but because the sequence of events is so muddled, it's impossible to say for sure. Wish I'd skipped this one.

Beautiful images, love the sense of creepy without ever revealing the monster wholly.
