Nire lehen liburua euskaraz irakurrena! Oso-oso guztatzen zait! Zaila izan zen, euskara ikasten badut, baina guztiz merezi du. Irakaslearekin irakurri dut, hasiera gogorregia izango zen bakarrik. Orain, gehiago euskara ulertzen dut, baina ere gehiago euskara hitz egiten dut!

Hizkera Bernardo Atxagaren oso gustatzen zait ere. Ipuina interesgarria da, baina hizkera liburu bikaina egiten du. Beste liburuak euskaraz orain irakurri nahi dut, baina agian, aste bat edo bi "oporretan" nago :)

This is one of my favourite childhood books. We had the German and Spanish versions at home and I'm so glad to see this translated into English. Mo, the cow living in the Basque Country in the aftermath of the Civil War, is such a great character and this book certainly isn't only for younger readers. Always remember: Ther is nothing as stupid as a stupid cow ;)

This book gives you exactly what its title says: the memoires of a cow. The cow in question is quite adventurous and leads a pretty exciting life, being as she is at a place and in a time where exciting things also happen for humans, in Basque Country around 1940.

It's a good read, not only because of the interesting historical context but also because the perspective of the cow is written in a very fun way and her reaction to the things she experiences are quite entertaining. If you're going on vacation & want to bring a book, this is an excellent option. Still: I think that some things work better in the original language and with more cultural context than I have as a Dutch person.

Gaia interesgarria iruditu zait baina istorioa berez ez zait asko atsegin. Hala ere, 3 izar jartzen dizkiot gaiarengatik eta idatzita dagoen moduarengatik.
