This series has always been weird. But this one just became… annoying.
I get Baum was trying to make kids happy, but I just didn’t enjoy this one as much as the other books. It felt like he was searching for a plot. Not that it always feels like his books have one anyway.

Honestly? I wasn't expecting the book to end with the kitten being put on trial for murder. Pretty fun.
