I think the idea of this is fun but the execution is not my thing. It’s very mid 2010s YA with a love triangle and everything, and all the silly romance and kinda annoying character traits mean the story of bogged down when there are actually some quite interesting themes present like whether the soul transcends universes etc. I rolled my eyes a lot whilst reading this, but it was still compulsively readable and I did enjoy the different dimensions.

This was really good! I definitely enjoyed it as much as the first one. I'm really excited to see what comes in the final book since it ended on such a cliffhanger.

Dang it, Claudia Gray. You did it again with that cliffhanger.

I love how this book was the exact opposite of the first one. While Book 1 explored the oh-so-awesome possibilities of multiversal travel, Book 2 was a lot more realistic and eye-opening---and pretty much depressing. Marguerite and Paul witness firsthand the horrible realities of universes that are so different from theirs, and with it, they discover in some places that they're not so destined to be together after all. And that brings us to the question, Is destiny even real, when the one you love ends up hurting you in more universes than not?

That brought up a lot of angst (huzzah) as I devoured this thing in less than a day. Oh, did I mention that cliffhanger? Sucks.

I really enjoyed this book, but not the ending. The ending was kinda crappy, but I want to see where she's going with it.

I didn't like this one anywhere near as much as the first. The whole love triangle was irritating and made we want to punch the characters. And that ending made me nearly give up on the series as a whole.
