This was a beautifully and charmingly photographed and presented portrait of a diverse mix of dogs and their humans ranging from everyday citizens to more famous names like Jacqueline Woodson. Pictures and textual story were balanced just right to showcase both visual appeal and to also allow a bit of an in depth look into, not only the story of the big and small floofs but also the stories of their people and neighborhoods and thus making the book a much richer experience than I had expected.
It was an additional vicarious pleasure in a time when more restricted to your own neighborhood and own online social circle lives. Definitely a recommended lockdown read both for the dogs and the human interest aspects.
