Reeaaallllyyyyy sad and kind of felt like there was no hope, so I had to stop reading because it was a heavier read than I wanted.

Okay MIXED feelings. I really liked a lot of parts of this, and liked basically every character EXCEPT for Lydia. I literally hated Lydia. I felt bad for her at some points but honestly she was terrible to Nath and Hannah and self-pitied SO much! All she did was self pity. I did like the ending where it was just a bit up to interpretation whether or not she killed herself IMO but I just couldn’t ever feel bad for her
Every other character was very complex and interesting, my one other annoyance was like their child dies and like ofc this man literally immediately fucks his 22 yr old TA. Like yes Marilyn left literally 10 years ago but it was to actually pursue a career. The FIRST chance this man gets after Lydia dies he instantly fucks his TA. Instantly. I have no sympathy for him there like fuck you! Fuck you!!! But like whatever classic man sorry ugh everything else about his character I really liked tho
