"In a city where supernatural creatures walk undetected among humans, magic means survival."

Bill Wyoming is a wolpertinger working as a public defender in the human section of Midtown. The supernatural inhabitants of Uptown are kept safe from human detection by their glamour and various folk mingle with the unsuspecting population. On the subway home, a child disappears. Bill and four of his fellow passengers are drawn into a race to find her, leading into dangerous regions of the hidden world.

This urban fantasy really drew me in from the start. The plot moves at a fair pace and the world building is fantastic. I did get a bit confused with all the different supernatural creatures but a quick search didn't really interfere with the flow (there is an index at the back of the book but as I was reading an e-book i found it easier to Google as I went). It ends well but sets up for what I hope will be more books in a series. If so, I'm hoping there will be more back story to the characters included, which will round them out nicely. I would definitely read more if they are available.

I received a free copy from the Author via Voracious Readers in exchange for a honest review.
