I loved this book so much! This is the second book to the series, but I haven’t read the first book and I felt I didn’t miss anything. I love that the story is written through two different perspectives, the love interests Jade and Talon. This kept the book interesting and allowed you to understand the perspective of both main characters, even if they didn’t have it in them to open up to each other directly. There is a lot going on in this book so I just wanted to keep reading nonstop! I took off .25 of a star because there were moments during the sex scenes that were worded a little cringey, but I still liked how it was written for the most part. There are short flashbacks to events related to kidnapping and sexual abuse, so be mindful if you are sensitive to that.
