Review: This was SO. MUCH. FUN. I've heard the audio is absolutely fantastic, although I read it via ebook - and honestly? It might even be worth a re-read via audio, that's how much I enjoyed it! I was genuinely surprised multiple times throughout the book, and I loved the way it played with how we view those around us, and how that interpretation can change depending on other information we're given. And Lucy's grandmother? LOVED HER. I will definitely be on the lookout for more thriller/mystery books from Amy Tintera!

I surprisingly really liked this. The dialogue was pretty natural & while I was pretty sure who the murderer was the story kept me second guessing myself.

Sarcastic main character, cold case in a small Texas town, amnesia, and a  grandma that gets around… what’s not to like.

Lucy is an accused murderer, who escaped her hometown, and is returning after years of avoidance. When she gets home, she realizes a few things. More people believe she is innocent than she thought, and her grandma has set her up by inviting the person doing a podcast of the case to town at the same time as Lucy.

Ben is the podcast director. He doesn't have a preconceived idea of who killed Savvy, he is open minded, and just wants the truth. His podcast is popular and has solved a few murders.

When Lucy finally agrees to be part of the podcast things change for both in a way they didn't expect.

The podcast aspect was well done in this book. The audiobook was good as you could hear the podcaster and the story they're telling like a real podcast. Well done, but the ending didn't really do it for me. It was a surprise, but seemed to come out of nowhere.

Didn’t really care for the podcast format or the amnesia (too convenient a plot device). Characters were too superficial. Only one I really liked was the grandmother. Everyone should have a gran like her.
