I'm introducing my kids to a variety of religions and this is one of many books that we have read. What I take exception to with this book is that icicles would hold a flame(I just could not suspend disbelief for that one) and that the book ends with all Christmas lights going out and only the menorah candles bring visible. This is the happy ending? The girl in the story was so sad when her lights couldn't be on...but then the authors end the story in a way that seems to gloat about the fact that her lights were the only remaining ones and it is a miracle. This is not the message I want to give my kids. At least it opened the door to s conversation about it with them.
