  • 3🌶️. The book had amazing tension with great spice. However, most of the spicy scenes are towards the last 1/3 of the book, but the build up is worth it.
  • I loved the characters and relatability. This gave the people pleasing side of me validation to read.
  • The representation in this book was awesome on all fronts from women in stem to those with medical ailments.
  • The banter/ humor was top tier. I laughed out loud way too many times while reading this and couldn’t put it down.
  • The academia setting was easy to fall into and gave the book great depth.

So cute! This book had me giggling and smiling and kicking my feet from start to finish. This was a fun rivals to lovers romance but didn’t feel overdone or tropey. The people pleaser in me related very much to Elsie.

I really enjoyed reading this until I found out it comes from the same universe as Reylo fan fiction. Nothing against people who like that! I just don’t, and it ruined it a bit for me. Thanks for getting me out of my reading slump though!

Similar structure of other books from the author and very similar main characters. Still, I enjoyed readin it. It is very entretaining and the love gension is well maintained.

I do feel uncomfortable with the fake dating idea.

It was enjoyable to read about the petty and unfair world of academia.

There was a clear lack of knowledge of Physics disciplines.

Adored this book.   Physics is the science in this one, and it seems we got more science than we did in the others I have read.   And, this book focuses a lot on the people pleasers out there in the world..made me realize I sometimes don’t focus on what I want.

This book made me laugh so much, the humor was fantastic and the progression of the main relationship was so entertaining. I loved every part of this book!

Probably the most graphic of the Ali Hazelwood books. Predictable like the others, but still a fun read!
